I would have to say that Joey was my first real show dog. There were successful winners, champions, group placers, puppy group winners, etc., before her, but she set the bar a little higher!

A super clean mover, beautiful balanced side gait, rock solid topline, neck, and ATTITUDE! Joey finished her CKC championship very quickly and then professional handler Trina Neil approached me about specialing her. Hmmmm, I hadn’t sent a dog out with a handler before. But this was such an opportunity…so off Joey went to spend a few months with Trina and Connie. This resulted in weekend after weekend of group placements, puppy group wins, and multi Best Puppy in Show wins! Joey started her ASCA show career as a puppy as well, picking up her first major at only ten months of age. The rest of her ASCA majors followed quickly, and ASCA/CKC Champion Joey found a new job as a Junior’s dog. There are quite a few junior handlers out there whose first trip in the ring was with Joey.

Joey also played a bit in the stock arena and picked up some started titles (thank you Lara Forchuk). Now she rules the couch, and occasionally the whelping box, at home.

An easy and FAST whelper, she has produced some super kids for us, including CKC and ASCA champions, group placers, puppy group winners, Best Puppy in Show winners, agility titled dogs, stock titled dogs, and obedience titled dogs.
